To alleviate the current ‘cold spell’ we’ve all been enduring, try making this Apple Hot Toddy from Kongsgaard. Launched by husband and wife, Søren and Bettina, Kongsgaard is a ‘New World’ gin – where tradition meets contemporary.

The Kongsgaard’s – yes this is Søren and Bettina’s surname, have created an innovative gin comprising of carefully selected botanicals: Danish apples, and organic juniper, inspired by Nordic woods.

Søren & Bettina Kongsgaard – Kongsgaard Gin


50 ml of Kongsgaard Gin

Cold pressed apple juice

Botanicals: ginger; cinnamon, lemon; and star anise

Honey – add if you prefer more sweetness


Heat up cold pressed apple juice and add the botanicals.

Serve in cups/mugs with the Kongsgaard Gin.

Garnish with a slice of apple and a star anise.
