I recently had the pleasure of being invited to the Last Days of Shoreditch Winter La La Land’s launch party. When I accepted the invitation, I had no idea the party would end up being on one of the coldest days of the year, so I wrapped up warm and braced myself for the cold.

Cold though it was, Winter La La Land was prepared: it was fully equipped with heaters, some indoor space and cosy little seating areas which helped to keep everyone feeling snuggly, despite the weather. Our first visit was the ‘hot bar’, which offered a delightful array of hot alcoholic beverages.  I opted for the Cider, whilst my companion opted for the Choco-late. Both were not only hot, warming and gorgeous, but they were also generously adorned with alcohol, which definitely helped to keep me warm!

In addition to a variety of bars, there are also three food vendors: we chose Biff’s Jack Shack for our Pulled jackfruit burgers and fries – but there was enough range to please most people (including fussy vegans like me!)

Between the DJ creating a relaxed, party vibe, the hot toddy’s and the delicious food, it was easy to forget the weather and enjoy the atmosphere.  Winter La La Land provided a cosy place to have a drink, dance, eat and catch up with friends with the added bonus of taking a slide down from the bar.  I would definitely recommend making this a stop if you happen to be in Old Street or nearby!
