With the festive season imminent excessive eating and drinking is almost compulsory! Fortunately, for teetotallers and designated drivers, mocktails, alcohol -free versions of wine, beer, and champagne are readily available. If you are entertaining at home try making this Aperitivo di Passata, a tasty non-alcoholic aperitif, for your teetotal guests. This mocktail is also ideal if you are looking to take a break from alcohol – perhaps you’re amongst the 77% who are looking to shed a few pre-Christmas pounds.

This recipe uses Passata with chilli, lime juice and nutmeg but you can easily adapt the recipe with Passata, basil and lemon juice instead. To see how this drink is made please scroll down to watch the video.
