Indonesian folklore comes to Islington* via Tootoomoo, a pan Asian restaurant group that specialises in fresh and healthy fare. Named after an Indonesian folklore story about a hungry giant, Tootoomoo is the brainchild of Philip McGuiness and Executive Chef Ricky Pang, and joins the group’s two existing restaurants located in north London’s Crouch End, Whetstone and a takeaway in Highgate.

To coincide with Tootoomoo’s recent soft opening, diners receive 50%* off their bill in advance of the official opening on 13th September.image

The menu, inspired by good quality street food served up throughout Asian street markets, and features sharing plates of Shichimi squid (£4.50), BBQ pork ribs (£4.50) and Chicken gyoza (£4) all creating a tantalising first taste, whilst the Beef rendang (£6.50) and Szechuan chilli with tofu (£5.50) provide delicious Eastern flavours with a kick. Cocktails have a distinctive Asian twist (all £7) including the flavoured Caipirinha – with the choice of lychee, mango, passion fruit, pineapple or chilli.

Make like the hungry giant and head down to Tootoomoo, Islington in order to fill your boots with tasty, pan Asian dishes at a reduced price.
