August is proving a great month for foodies what with the giving away of FREE pork ribs courtesy of Bodean’s BBQ Smokehouse, you can also fill your boots with 50% off at Cha Chaan Teng, Jeremy Pang’s newly opened Hong Kong inspired eatery in Holborn.

The snappily named Cha Chaan Teng follows the tradition of the hugely popular cha chaan teng cafés that originated during the 1950’s to serve an eclectic range of Chinese comfort food infused with Western influences – which sprung up to accommodate Hong Kong’s multicultural population.

East meets west in the form of the signature dishes including: Crispy duck with French toast and orange maple; Deep-fried peanut butter French toast and classic crusty rolls with fillings including spam and fried quail egg or soy pork chop.image

Also on the menu – the ubiquitous Prawn toast which has benefited from a high –end upgrade thanks to its lobster topping. While desserts are inventive with choices like the Hedgehog cinnamon doughnut bun accompanied with an oozing duck egg yolk centre, served with condensed milk dipping sauce.

Pair the delicious dishes with either Chinese draught beer or innovative cocktails from Soul Shakers, who have created cocktails inspired by the flavours of Eastern tea culture.

To experience a slice of Hong Kong inspired heaven, head down to Cha Chaan Teng.

Tables will be available for lunch and dinner everyday until Wednesday 31st August. The soft launch offer is available only through email bookings, send to: 50@chachaantenguk.com
