Celebrations continue for the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, if like me, you were unable to make the pilgrimage to the Bard’s birth and resting place at Stratford –upon –Avon, there is still the opportunity to raise a glass or two of specially created cocktails.
TwoRuba bar at Hilton London Tower Bridge has a bespoke collection of shaken cocktails, blended with seasonal spring fruity flavours.
Try the Mint Julep Caesar (£11) – a bourbon-based cocktail blended with fresh blackberries and a dash of crème de cassis, cutting through the toasty wood and coffee flavours and complementing the sweet spicy notes of Kentucky’s favourite brown liquid.
Available until the 30th April, please visit: tworuba.com for further information.
The expert mixologists at The Distillery, Hilton Bankside hotel, have created a special Romeo & Juliet cocktail list Priced at £6 each or £15 for a cocktail flight. With a nod to the nearby Globe theatre the cocktails are served on their very own stage and are inspired by lines from the famous love story: ‘Wherefore art thou Romeo?’ ‘It is the east & Juliet is the sun.’ ‘Thus with a kiss I die’.
