NewCo, a free to enter global innovation festival, has announced the schedule of its London event. On the 21st April, some of London’s most innovative companies will open their doors to the public and provide a unique opportunity to see what makes them tick.
The schedule includes a range of talks from some of the most exciting leaders at the forefront of the innovation economy in London. Household brands such as Barclays, the BBC and the Economist, as well as leading online companies such as Skyscanner, onefinestay and Made.com, will hold sessions in their own offices.
Hamish Kinniburgh, Global Chief Strategy Officer and co-founder of NewCo, says:
“This is our third year in London and it’s shaping up to be the best one yet. Our guests will get a behind the curtains look into some of the most innovative companies in London and the chance to hear the stories behind the success. It’s a truly exciting time in the city and we’re proud to help open the doors to the public allowing them to find out more about the brilliant people, behind these brilliant companies that are shaping the cultural fabric of London.”
NewCo was founded in San Francisco in 2012 by tech entrepreneur John Battelle with the aim of connecting ‘festival goers’ with innovative brands and taking intimate sessions out of stuffy conference rooms and into the creative environments that host the UK’s most exciting businesses. Events will also be held in New York, Barcelona and LA to name a few. NewCo UK was Co-founded by Hamish Kinniburgh and Ella Goldner in 2013.
This year NewCo London has partnered with London Business School (LBS)* – one of the world’s leading academic institutions. A team of their students, led by David Morris, Associate Director at the Career Centre, has pulled together a dynamic programme that reflects LBS’s connection to the innovation economy in the capital. Morris says:
