Chic, atmospheric cocktail bar, Old Bengal Bar, has cannily teamed up with luxury, quintessentially British perfume house Penhaligon’s for the launch of a new cocktail menu coinciding with Mother’s Day (6th March) and available until June.

How do cocktails relate to perfume? I hear you ask, Old Bengal Bar have taken inspiration from Penhaligon’s extensive range of beautiful scents and will offer five cocktails, each based on Penhaligon’s distinctive fragrances, including the new Equinox Bloom. The menu has been designed with each scent closely in mind so that the cocktails accurately recreate the experience of inhaling the fragrance along with providing a flavour evocative of its aroma. Ranging from ‘Levantium’, which combines: Hibiki Japanese Harmony; Absinthe; Peychaud; Angostura bitters; and clove smoke to recreate the spicy warmth of the inspiring scent, to the aforementioned ‘Equinox Bloom’ which blends: Mount Gay Black Barrel and Aphrodite bitters with violet liqueur, jasmine syrup and orange blossom to recapture the Spring floral notes of the perfume, the menu, not unlike perfume, provides a complex sensory experience to suit all tastes.Penhaligon's_Cocktails_OBB_118_1514
