New gin on the block, the mysteriously named Silent Pool Gin, was launched last month after years of research and development. Named after the mythical, spring-fed pool in Surrey where the water used in the gin derives from, Distiller Cory Mason was inspired to represent the pools’ clarity and depth in Silent Pool Gin. This artisanal gin is produced from a blend of 24 botanicals which include: licorice root, cardamom, bergamot orange peel, and elderflower.

In addition to being taken by the gins’ distinctive clean taste and notes of chamomile, citrus and lavender, I am totally enamoured with the stunning blue bottle illustrated by Laura Barrett in collaboration with design agency SeymourPowell. The bottles’ intricate pattern was inspired by the gins’ ingredients and the aforementioned Silent Pool in Surrey, where according to local legend; the pool is haunted by the ghost of a beautiful young maiden who drowned there during the 13th century.image

Up your gin game, treat yourself or others (makes for a great gift) to Silent Pool Gin.
