To save both money and calories join the ‘fakeaway’ movement by making DW Fitness Clubs’ Chinese Stir Fry recipe which is a great alternative to a Chow Mein takeaway.

Skinless, boneless chicken fillet cut into chunks
Large spring onion, sliced
Large red onion, finely chopped
Coloured peppers, thinly sliced
Diced chilli (optional)
Dash of soy sauce
Plum sauce
Cashew nuts
Low-calorie spray oil
Egg noodles (or use rice for a low-calorie option)


Spray a large wok with the low-calorie oil and heat up.

Add in the chicken and cook through.

Add in your chopped vegetables until crispy.

Throw in the noodles, cashew nuts and a dash of chilli.

Finally, add the plum sauce and mix thoroughly so everything is coated.
