It was National Picnic Week last week, my inbox overflows with these almost weekly commemorations and quite frankly, it’s a struggle to keep up! Alas, I may be over seven days late for National Picnic Week; however, gloriously warm weather means that eating alfresco is pretty much compulsory! So with outdoor dining in mind, cast a critical eye on our round up of the best picnics:

Healthy Hampers

What’s in the hamper?

Gluten –Free and Vegan hampers (£8 each) dishes include: Pitta & dip; Crunchy summer salad; Wasabi potato salad; Californian chickpea Salad with caramelised Shallots & pumpkin Seeds; Broccoli with candy striped beetroot & crispy lotus root; Gluten –free bread; and Black bean brownies.

For something a little more indulgent go up scale with the Premium Hamper (£29.99) this includes either a bottle of Brut or Rosé; Farfelle a la crème with walnuts & mushrooms; Whole aloo scotch egg with spicy ketchup; Summer crunch salad; and two Black bean brownies.

Armed with your hamper and you are stuck for somewhere to go – no problem, all hampers include a map of nearby picnic spots.

What’s in the hamper?Traditional Picnic Hamper -

The traditional hamper (£89 serves two) is filled with various delights: rustic panzanella, Greek or caesar salad; Cucumber sandwiches; Smoked salmon and dill butter sandwiches; Scones; Fresh fruit salad; Red velvet cupcakes; Macarons; and soft drinks with a bottle of house wine (red, white or rosé).

Eat your freshly -prepared picnic in one of the nearby parks – Green Park, Hyde Park or St. James’s Park.

Seven freshly prepared seasonal dishes (£100 serves two): Grilled sardines; New potatoes; Pickled radish; Air dried Irish beef; Celeriac remoulade; Artichoke; Heritage beetroot; Goat’s curd; Smoked mackerel; English summer berries; Shortbread; Crème fraîche
