While yogis of the past have tried to levitate to higher spheres, Yogasphere is literally bringing sky-high yoga to London with eight weekly classes on the 72nd floor of The Shard

As the tallest building in Europe at a height of 1,016ft, Yogasphere at the Shard offers yoga classes with unrivalled 360 degree views of the capital’s skyline at £40 a session. If practicing yoga 800ft above London at 8:30am doesn’t wake you up, then nothing will!

The classes take place at 8:30am on Saturdays and 7:30pm on Sundays, in “The View” – and in sunny weather, the open air viewing platform, with time allowed before and after class to take in the breathtaking view from the gallery.

The new Sunday, ‘City of Light’ evening classes are a one hour slow flow meditative class, followed by 30 minutes private viewing time after class; perfect for those new to yoga or after the ultimate zen experience – with views stretching for 40 miles.

This is one yoga practice where use of smartphones is encouraged, allowing yogis to snap their practice, situated at almost twice the height of any other viewing platform in London, and share their #peakpose #healthyselfie.image

This calming mind and body yoga class was founded by partners Mandy Jhamat (named “one of the UK’s top yoga teachers” by Marie Claire) and leading Harley Street wellbeing coach Leo Lourdes; who have taken yoga to new heights by adding The Shard to the growing, world-wide list of yogasphere classes.

The City of Light evening class is a 60 minute sequence of slow-moving stretches that are more about focusing your centre and clearing you mind, and less of a gruelling Bikram workout. Perfect for Sunday evenings.

Mats are provided for your use and goodie bags given at the end of the class.
