My craving for milder weather shows no signs of abating and with spring seeming like a lifetime away, what to do in the interim? Calvia, a municipality in the southwest region of Spain is blessed with a mild winter temperature (between 14°-18°) along with a varied winter programme devised by Visit Calvia in conjunction with the region’s hotel associations. The purpose of the winter programme is to encourage visitors to extend their stay in the picturesque southwest region of Majorca during the UK’s winter months.

What’s on Offer?

The winter programme provides tourists with a wide variety of FREE cultural excursions such as; Mallorca wine tasting tours, guided walks to Santueri Castle, where you will be able to soak up the spectacular rooftop structure and the opportunity to shop and enjoy the lively Botanicactus and Ses Salines markets. There is also a guided walk to Es Capdella, the start of the Tramuntana Mountains and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.image

Visitors can also get fit by climbing their way through two new scenic hiking routes or cycle with Tour de France winner Stephen Roche, who is celebrating 20 years since the opening of his first bike station in the region. Calvia is also home to world-class golf courses.image
